It is known that Mizan, who lives in the city of Sohar, Oman, had four business establishments. He did not return after leaving home last Friday. Although attempts were made to contact him after evening, his mobile phone was found switched off. Since then, family members, friends and acquaintances have been looking for him in different places.

Mizan’s friend Mohammad Rabiul said that a local Omani citizen found the body of a person with the door closed inside a car in the parking area of Lulu Hypermarket in Sohar at around 8 am on Monday. Upon receiving the information, the Royal Oman Police reached the spot and confirmed the identity of the body through fingerprints. Later, it was identified as Mizan’s body.

Mizan’s home is in BP Daudpur village of Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. He is the son of Abdul Jabbar and the youngest of three brothers. At the time of his death, he left behind numerous relatives, friends and well-wishers, including his wife.

The police recovered the body and sent it to the Sohar Hospital morgue. An investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of the incident. Initially, it is believed that he may have died due to suffocation or poisoning due to the influence of some toxic gas inside the car. However, the authorities have not said anything definitive about the cause of death until the investigation is completed.

The incident has cast a shadow of grief among the Bangladeshi community living in Oman. Many are also expressing grief and condolences on his death on social media.
