The holy Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with due dignity and religious solemnity in Cardiff, the capital of Wales. On May 27, the Muslim community celebrated Eid-ul-Adha in the presence of thousands of people. The first congregation held at 8 am local time at the Cardiff Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center was led by the mosque’s Khatib Maulana Shah Halim Uddin Noori, while the second congregation was led by Hafez Maulana Towhidul Haque. The first congregation at the Cardiff Jalalia Mosque and Islamic Educational Institution was led by the mosque’s Khatib Maulana Abdul Moktadir. The second congregation was led by Hafez Jalal Uddin. Hafez Khairul Alam led at the Llandrin Community Center. In the pre-sermon discussion, the imams said that Eid-ul-Adha is resplendent in the glory of sacrifice.

Every mosque in Cardiff was filled with the footsteps of devout Muslims. After the congregation, the arriving worshippers hugged each other and reveled in the unbridled joy of Eid. Cardiff Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center Trustee Mohammad Makis Mansur, Shahjalal Mosque Committee Chairman Shah Ataur Rahman Madhu, Secretary Kawsar Hossain, Treasurer Rakibur Rahman, Cardiff Jalalia Mosque Chairman Alhaj Lilu Mia and Secretary Mohibul Islam Maya, along with other leaders and arriving worshippers, extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the world. In every Eid congregation, prayers are offered for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.

In various places, free food of various kinds was provided for the worshippers and entertainment for the children. Despite the busyness of the diaspora, every home had various food arrangements including pitha, sandesh, sweets, semai, lasci, biryani and others on the occasion of Eid.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, Mohammad Makis Mansur, Central Convener of Greater Sylhet Community UK and Chairman of UK BD TV, extended his heartfelt greetings and Eid Mubarak to Muslims across the world, including Bangladesh and the UK, on ​​the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha. In a greeting message, he wished the Muslim Ummah happiness, peace, prosperity and brotherhood.

Mohammad Makis Mansur, Secretary of Bangladesh Welfare Association Cardiff UK, said, “The holy Eid-ul-Adha, resplendent in the glory of sacrifice, brings us the lesson of self-sacrifice, humanity and brotherhood. May this Eid be a message of peace, harmony and welfare in everyone’s lives.”
