Sohel Chowdhury, a Jordanian expatriate community figure and Jordan Central BNP General Secretary, considers the murder of Ramisa after her rape in Dhaka to be a shame for the nation. He expressed deep shock and sorrow on behalf of Jordanian expatriate Bangladeshis and Jordan Central BNP over the murder.
In a statement, he also said that Ramisa was very talented and was a beloved bride to the people of the area. Such behavior towards her is unacceptable in any way.
Sohel Chowdhury also said that I am also a father of a daughter. I want rape and murder to stop forever in Bangladesh. If the trial of that Acia of Magura had been implemented quickly, maybe Ramisa would not have had to see such a death. He demanded the speedy implementation of the Child Safety Act. He thanked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for visiting Ramisa’s house and consoling her father.
