Masked men attack Dot Internet office in Mohammadpur, loot goods

Dot InternetA group of unidentified masked miscreants attacked the corporate office of ‘Dot Internet’ in Lalmatia, Mohammadpur, in the capital. During this time, they beat up and injured two office employees and looted mobile phones and other items worth lakhs of taka. The incident took place at around 8:45 pm on Tuesday (June 9).

Dot InternetAccording to the statement of the case, a group of 20-25 people wearing masks forcibly entered the office of the company located on the third floor of a building in Lalmatia E-Block. Pradeep Dhali, the owner of the institution and CTO Md. Mithu started looking for Howladar.

Dot InternetWhen the account manager Md. Ibrahim Hawlader and electrician Md. Jalal, who were present in the office at that time, asked them the reason for their visit, the miscreants got agitated and started beating them indiscriminately. They sustained serious injuries in various parts of their bodies and later sought primary treatment at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.

The attackers stole a CPU, a WiFi router and a mobile phone from the office, estimated to be worth Tk 223,500. They intimidated and threatened the staff while leaving.

The company’s Corporate Coordinator Officer Md. Chagir Hossain Asif has filed a case with Mohammadpur Police Station as the plaintiff in this incident. After reviewing the CCTV footage, the police have started the process of identifying the accused and taking legal action.
