With the aim of developing the country’s labor market and resolving the existing problems of recruiting agencies, Baira and senior leaders of recruiting agencies paid a courtesy call on the Honorable State Minister of Labor and Employment, Md. Nurul Haque, MP.
The delegation was led by M. A. Salam, a prominent business leader and a son of Bagerhat, in this meeting held at the Secretariat. During the meeting, M. A. Salam highlighted the current challenges of the country’s manpower export sector to the State Minister and called for opening new labor markets. He especially emphasized the need to free the labor markets of Malaysia and the Middle East from syndicates and restore transparency.
State Minister Md. Nurul Haque listened to the proposals of the delegation seriously and assured all kinds of government cooperation to increase the remittance flow by sending skilled manpower abroad. He said that the current government is committed to protecting the interests of ordinary workers by reducing the cost of migration. Other central leaders of BIA and senior officials of the ministry were present in the meeting.
